Conference Venue

Location

ISMAR 2018 will be held in Munich Germany. Munich is the capital and largest city of the German state of Bavaria. The main ISMAR conference will take place at MOC Exhibition Center Munich, which is easily accessible from the city center by train. There are a number of options for places to stay in Munich, however bookings should be made well in advance, as it is peak season for tourists.

Directions

The MOC Event Center is excellently connected to Munich's public transport network - fast, reliable and environmentally friendly. The conference location is within a 8 minute walk from the terminal station "Freimann" of the subway line "U6", which goes from the the very north of Munich (Garching Forschungszentrum, also the location of the TUM campus) to the very south of Munich (Klinikum Großhadern), passing three main subway stations located in the city center (Sendlinger Tor, Marienplatz and Odeonsplatz). If you come by car, traffic signs in the suburbs and throughout the city will show you the way to the MOC in northern Munich.

Munich Airport --> MOC

• Take the S1 (towards Ostbahnhof) to Feldmoching
• Take the bus 171 (towards Kieferngarten) to Bernsteinweg
• Walk to the MOC (~ 5 mins)

Munich Main Station --> MOC

• Take the U2 (towards Messestadt Ost) to Sendlinger Tor
• Take the U6 (towards Garching Forschungszentrum or Kieferngarten) to Kieferngarten
• Optional: Take the bus 171 (towards Feldmoching Bahnhof) to Bernsteinweg (only one stop)
• Walk to the MOC (~ 5 mins)
